Raise The Roof

… is an innovative and bold workshop initiative run in partnership with Villages in Action, the Devon village touring scheme. Raise The Roof is creating five substantial workshops that are transforming experiences for five villages in Devon.

The theme is Global Links. 15 artists are working in collaborative, interactive cells of three, devising and delivering workshop journeys. This will culminate in a substantial piece of collective work with all sections of the population in a village over a five-week period. The projects and the dates when they are happening are listed on the Moveable Feast community website.

Raise The Roof is directed by Tony Gee, artistic director of Moveable Feast.

A final evaluation of the whole project is being authored and collated by Debs Price, writer and lecturer at Dartington College of Arts.

The Everywhere Centre

This is a residential cross-art form project with up to 25 artists transforming an institution looking at the location and specific social needs in a creative way. This originates from an idea of John Moat’s, co-founder of the Arvon Foundation.
